Analytical Aspect

A term originating from Thomas Ring for tense or challenging aspects which were previously often referred to as "bad". Ring was referring to the Opposition, the Square, the Semi-Square and the Sesquisquare. The opposite to this type of aspect is the so-called synthetic aspect. Under this system, the Conjunction and the Quincunx fall somewhere between the two.
