Antiscion

The antiscion of a planet is the degree equidistant to that planet on the opposite side of the Cancer-Capricorn axis in the natal chart. For example the antiscion of 25 degrees Gemini is located at 5 degrees of Cancer, or that of 21 degrees Pisces at 9 degrees of Libra. Planets located on these degrees are considered to be connected to each other, and they are seen as being influential when a planet crosses them by progression or transit. In modern terminology it is also known under the alternative name "contrascion".

Note: sometimes the term is used to refer to points on either side of the Aries-Libra axis.
