Ascending Moon's Node

Synonym: Moon's North Node

One of two points of intersection between the path of the Sun (ecliptic) and that of the Moon (as seen from the Earth) that the Moon crosses on its northward path. Synonym: Moon's North Node. The point of intersection situated opposite is the Descending Moon's Node – or Moon's South Node. More details can be found under the heading Moon's Node.
