Axial Connection
From Astrowiki-en
A planet is said to form an axial connection when it forms one of the main aspects to one of the main axes. For example, a planet that forms a Trine to the Ascendant also forms a Sextile to the Descendent. A planet in this position is said to be dominant and therefore of great significance, particularly when conjunct the Ascendant, Descendant, Medium Coeli or Imum Coeli (dominant). A planet forming an aspect to an axis also influences the character of that axis. Put rather simply, a Leo Ascendant in conjunction with Pluto would exhibit some of the qualities of a Scorpio Ascendant.
