Black Sun

Astrological term for the Earth's aphelion, the point on its orbit that is furthest from the Sun. From a geocentric point of view, it is the point at which the Sun is furthest from the Earth. The opposite point is called the diamond which is equivalent to the perihelion, the point closest to the Sun.

Only a minority of astrologers include the Black Sun in their interpretaions.
