Central European Time

Central European Time is the term used to describe the time zone in Central Europe which is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. The abbreviation is CET (it is also sometimes referred to as MET which stands for Middle European Time). When the clocks go forward one hour in summer, this time zone is referred to as CEST or MEST (Central European Summer Time or Middle European Summer Time).
