Descending Moon's Node

Synonym: Moon's South Node

The point at which the path of the Moon intersects the Sun's path ecliptic when moving in a Southerly direction as seen from the Earth. Synonym: The Moon's South Node. The Ascending or North Node is situated directly opposite (see Moon's Nodes).
