New Age

The belief in a "New Age" which is said to begin when the vernal equinox, which moves backwards along the ecliptic through the zodiac (Platonic Year), leaves Pisces and enters the sign of Aquarius. There is great disagreement on when the so-called Age of Aquarius actually begins. Many New Age believers think that we are already experiencing the transitional phase from Pisces to Aquarius. However, if it is accepted that the vernal equinox is presently located at 6 degrees Pisces in the sidereal zodiac (Ayanamsha), the Aquarian Age will begin in around 430 years.
