The point of the zodiac exactly opposite Lilith.

Astronomy

Lilith is defined as the Moon's apogee, the most distant point on its elliptical orbit of the Earth, and Priapus is directly opposite - in other words, the perigee or closest point to the Earth. Priapus and Lilith form an axis and are sensitive points in the horoscope.

Mythology

In mythology Priapos (Greek spelling) was a god of fertility in Asia Minor. He is often portrayed with an oversized phallus.

Interpretation

Until now astrologers have paid little attention to Priapus and there is very little research on the subject. According to the astrologer Bibiana Maria Wachter, this point functions as a valve which can help to release the pent- up energy of the Lilith point. If Lilith symbolises the challenge of learning to live with the power of the feminine, Priapus could be seen as indicating where a negative reaction to this could lead to the rise of patriarchal power structures. This is true for both women and men.
