Reception

Two planets are in reception when they are in each other's domicile, i.e. in the sign ruled by the other planet. An example of this would be Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, in Aries and at the the same time Mars, the ruler of Aries, in Gemini.

Two planets in reception are linked - almost as if by aspect - without this necessarily being the case.
