Stellium

Synonym: Stellatium

A conjunction between more than two planets. A stellium can fall within one house or across the cusp between two houses and also within one sign or connect planets in different signs.

A stellium emphasises — even more than a conjunction — a particular theme indicated by the house and sign position of the planets concerned. The planets involved have a reciprocal effect on each other, and whether or not they support each other depends on which energies they symbolise. However, because the stellium involves several planets, it is unlikely that all of them will be in a harmonious relationship with each other. As with the conjunction, factors such as sign, house and aspects will influence which energy dominates.

A stellium can be such a powerful influence that it can also indirectly affect the opposite house and sign which also end up playing a dominant role in the life of the individual concerned.
