Synodic Month
From Astrowiki-en
Synonyms: Lunation; Synodic Lunar Month
The synodic month is the time the Moon takes to make one orbit around the Earth. It is usually measured from one New Moon to the next, although any lunar phase could be used as a basis for measurement. It is 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes in length and is therefore somewhat longer than the sidereal month.
